Traveling allows anyone to enrich themselves into a new culture, experience new tastes, and learn different languages. It’s an experience everyone should try at some point. Whenever you decide to do so, there are some tips to help you with your experience.

The first tip would be to not buy tickets on weekends, as prices tend to go up. The best days to get the cheapest tickets are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. With that being said, it also very important to purchase tickets in advance, at least two months, since the closer it gets to the trip date, the more expensive flights get. Another tip to save money solely on your plane ticket is buying the ticket on skycanner.com in incognito mode. This site has the cheapest flight deals and it is not a scam, the incognito mode helps with avoiding having websites spike their prices on you (they do this by tracking your search history).

While traveling, there are some tips that will help make the experience easier. The first thing is to have a neck pillow, because long airplane and car rides can be tiresome and it’s not pleasant to get neck and back pains to start your trip. A very good brand that is definitely worth the money because of the memory foam is Cabeau, the pillow is priced from 20-60$. Another tip is to pack a tiny travel kit for the airplane ride; it should include moisturizer for your hands and face, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, wipes. This is because airplane travel can be long and cause a sense of feeling dirty; therefore it is good to have a kit in order to freshen up once in a while. It’s also important to be flexible and willing to change your plans because sometimes some unforeseen things can happen and plans will need to be altered but remember that it is part of the experience.

Probably one of the most important tips is to take a photocopy of your important documents like your passport. If you lose it, some airlines will let you travel back home with a copy and other forms of identification. Losing your passport can result in the loss of a whole trip and all that money. With that said, also try and get travel insurance for long and expensive trips. It is definitely worth it if any emergencies occur.

When it comes to packing for a trip, there are some things that are a must and others that can stay at home. The first thing is to pack extra underwear, as sometimes trips run longer than expected and only having dirty underwear does not help. Packing gym clothes is unnecessary because the majority of the times, you don’t end up working out and it just takes up valuable space and weight in your luggage that can be used for souvenirs.

Don’t forget to notify your bank that you will be traveling; it is a horrible start to a trip when you have to get international phone charges in order to unlock your card. With that said, it is important to always carry some cash with you just in case that happens. You don’t want to be in a new city with no money to be able to get around. Finally, take many pictures and enjoy those memories and trips. Looking back to them years later will feel like you are transported to that location again. Traveling can result in some of the greatest lifetime memories. It is just important to keep a few of these key aspects in mind.
