Erie Get's Air

The wait is finally over, on August 25, Erie opened its doors to a brand new trampoline park. Get Air is the newest attraction to be added to the city located in the grandview Plaza, and so far there have been nothing but great reviews and ratings. For anyone that likes to channel their inner kid or has kids themselves, this is the place to go to.

I recently went there myself and absolutely loved the experience of this different approach to a trampoline park. Get Air should not be compared to Skyzone, the more well known trampoline chain. It has so much more to offer, such as an obstacle course, an under 46” kid zone and a slack line, which is much like a tightrope, but with mats to protect your fall. This park caters to various interests that are outside of just jumping around and doing tricks.

Just like any other trampoline park, you will need to sign a waiver online or in person, and buy special jump socks that grip to the trampolines. The prices aren’t terrible, with an hour jump being $14 and the two hour jump being $22. The socks that are required to jump are an additional $3 cost, but they are a one time purchase that can be used every time you come back to the park.

Get Air also hosts an array of  events like birthday parties, funraisers, weekend dance parties dubbed “Club Air”, and toddler time where the floor is reserved exclusively for little ones.

In an interview with Erie News Now, Joe Hatcher, general manager of Get Air Erie said, “We have things for everybody to do. Single adults, children, anybody - it’s fun for all ages, We have dodgeball. We have basketball. We have regular jumping. We have a ninja course. We have obstacle courses. We have places for little people, and we have places for big people.”

reviews for the new attraction are mostly positive, with local guide Steven Krauza saying “Nice trampoline park.  It compares well with other chain trampoline parks.  There are a variety of activities from traditional jumping to foam pits to ninja warrior items to dodge ball to basketball hoops.  Good for all ages as there is a separate area for kids under 46”.”

Some others have had negative experiences at the new attraction,  like Ernes Tatarevic who said “Their system is terrible! You literally wait at least 45 minutes to register and actually start jumping, cool place but they really need a faster system for getting in”.

If you are considering a trip to the new attraction, consider taking advantage of their Wednesday night student discount of 20 percent off when presenting a valid student ID. More information including their hours of operation and location can be found on their website at http://getairerie.com/.
