A cross country American adventure

From the West coast to the East coast, the United States has a vast frontier waiting to be explored. I have visited and lived in over 25 states. My top states on the West coast and Midwest are: California, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Illinois and Missouri.

Whether it’s North or South of California, the state has a lot to offer. In the city of Los Angeles, one can visit the beaches in the suburbs or the downtown alleys. The alleys are divided into many sectors, such as retail, wholesale, manufactures and sweatshops on top of the buildings. One can buy knock off products, and various items from $1-5 on street level from many vendors. There are street foods and drinks. When it comes to entertainment, L.A. quenches the thirst. There are 18 and over clubs, food of every culture, and events. What you’ve heard about L.A. traffic is true, it’s awful. It’s enough to make you want to park your car and walk. Traffic in California is generally bad. In one case a guy got mad in the Bay Area that a lady didn’t move forward fast enough, because she was playing with her, so he got out of his car and threw the dog into traffic. He received jail time. The Bay Area is in northern California and what I consider to be the crème de la crème of Cali. The people are a true melting pot, people of every race and country living in harmony. The Bay is the wealthy, expensive, and classy part of California that includes the Silicon Valley. Name a car and you’ll most likely see it. Another top West Coast state is Nevada. This state is great for winter sports.  In Las Vegas, Nevada prostitution is unavoidable, there are flyers and pictures that scatter the city literally. Entertainment in Las Vegas is savagery, there is nothing you can’t do there. . The strip is full of shows and hotels that do what it takes to draw one in. One bad thing about Las Vegas is the heat, because heat waves are visible. Food is plentiful with seafood buffets starting at $9. Costumes is normal attire in Las Vegas, which keeps thing interesting. Another amazing state on the west coast is New Mexico, which gains very little recognition. The land of enhancement has the most awe inspiring sun I’ve ever seen. The sun demands attention and respect. The New Mexico sun elevates, mesmerizes, seduces and consumes one. Athletes come to New Mexico for the clean air. I had to take New Mexico history once and I discovered the rich history of the land. History that spans from Native American, Mexican, Aliens from space, to military. New Mexico has many cheap fun activities, such as: Pow Wow’s, air balloon, boxing, belly dancing, natural spas, gun classes and more.

In the Midwest, Illinois and Missouri reign supreme as the two favorite states in the Midwest. Chicago, Illinois has a gorgeous metropolitan city that is by far the cleanest and prettiest city I’ve seen. Think New York, but actually being able to maintain a clean city. Potted flowers are all over the city to beautify. Well developed skyscrapers and a beautiful lake that brings tranquility. There is an abundant amount of things to do. Chicago has clubs, friendly neighborhood eats and more. Saint Louis, Missouri has been developing at a rapid pace lately, and is a great place to travel and invest. The city has an interactive museum called the City Museum that enables kids and adults to play, climb, slide and run on various floors. The city has numerous bars and hangouts which make for a nice nightlife. Sports are also a big deal for STL.

Wherever you go in the United States you’re bound to discover something. Travel the untamed frontier of the U.S. and discover an adventure of your own.
