For some college students, Taco Bell is a staple in their food pyramid. The cheap prices beat Moe’s and Chipotle without a doubt. A meal at either place could cost 10 dollars or more, while Taco Bell stays under the 10-dollar mark and has a wide variety of value items.  Despite its popularity, Taco Bell wanted to reach even more people, so they decided to branch out and partner up with Forever 21 to release a clothing line.

Forever 21 has become an extremely popular store over the years, with 600 stores nationwide and 4 billion dollars in revenue each year, according to Forbes Magazine. This means millions of Americans finally have the opportunity to wear clothing celebrating their favorite restaurant.

The clothing line has clothes for men and women and a few plus size choices for women. The clothing varies between graphics and quotes, one shirt reading “Too Much Sauce” and another with pictures of Taco Bell’s famous sauce packets. Children can even join in on the fun and sport a new sweatshirt with the Taco Bell logo on it or a shirt that says “Live Más”.

If wearing Taco Bell doesn’t sound fun, the line also has an iPhone case featuring sauce packets and hard tacos.  All of these pieces can be found on the Forever 21 website and range in price from 7 to 25 dollars.

There has been a widely warm reception for this new clothing line, but some are still skeptical. Senior college student and avid Taco Bell eater Catherine Kretzing said, “I love eating tacos, but I won’t wear them.” This seems to be the case with reviews on the line, people are either excited to sport Taco Bell clothing or confused as to why anyone would want to wear a shirt with the Taco Bell logo on it.

Sometimes it all comes down to the specific person’s opinion on whether or not they are interested in purchasing the “new” and “trendy” items. There are going to be many people who purchase these items because they love Taco Bell and Forever 21 and others who do not really like either but love the design of the clothing line.

Regardless of the reviews, the clothing line is only out there for a limited time, so be sure to check out the Forever 21 website before they disappear.
