Behrend map changes

A new campus map for Penn State Behrend has been developed and is now readily available on the Behrend website.

There are a few notable differences between the original and the new map. This version is oriented with cardinal directions, with North at the “top” of the map. The name of the buildings are written directly on the map with acronyms posted on the key. The new map includes all of Behrend’s new buildings on campus such as AMIC, Trippe Hall, Jordan Building and Balmer House. Knowledge Park and the Logan House have been merged into the map, in a single campus view. Knowledge Park and Logan House were originally placed on a completely separate map view.

The changes make it easy for students to decipher which building is which at a quick glance. It is hoped that students will be able to more easily navigate campus with these additions and changes to the map.

Kate Becker, senior international business major, said “I think the changes to the map are very good. I like that we can just look at it and see the names of the buildings without having to look at the key back and forth to find where we’re going.”

Jacob Ryan, senior marketing major, said “I’m glad the map was changed, before it was a bit tricky to find out where each building was. Now it is much more streamlined and accessible.”

The web version of the map is not for high-quality printing. It has been formatted for quick opening and easy online viewing. The best way to ensure high-quality printing with a large quantity is by asking the Copy Center to print them using their high-quality art file.

Print copies can be ordered by contacting Tina Meckley in the Copy Center at x6121 or cmm452@psu.edu
