China's High-Speed Railway

China’s latest high-speed train "Renaissance EMU” can touch a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. From Beijing to Shanghai (about 1328 kilometers), it just spends 4.5 hours. Many foreign passengers come to experience the high value and high speed of "Renaissance EMU". The Renaissance EMU can be known as one of China’s greatest inventions and in their mind it is one of "China’s specialties” which they wanted to take home most.

China’s high-speed train is a railway passenger dedicated line with a speed of equal or more than 250 km/h, with an initial speed of 200 km/h or more. Through the introduction and innovation, China developed the railway and it has become the fastest, most convenient and safest way to travel across the city and across provinces in China.

In an experiment about safety of the high-speed railway from a Chinese official television station, CCTV, four coins were placed on the Railway window, and the four coins stood firmly and held for more than one minute. Thus, countless people praised the steady and comfortable ride of the China High-speed Railway. From "made in China" to "created in China", the Chinese railway completed a beautiful turn.

Compared to the previous "Harmony EMU", " Renaissance EMU" is more advanced and comfortable. The “Renaissance EMU” has full Wi-Fi coverage, a charging socket for each seat, more comfortable seats, and a very good riding experience.

Compared with the existing EMUs, the shape of the "Renaissance EMU" has changed a lot. The height of the CR400AF increased from 3.7 meters to 4.05 meters, and the area of the EMU increased by 7.3 percent. When the EMU runs at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, about 90 percent of the resistance comes from air. When it runs at this high speed, energy consumption of 100 kilometers is just 3.8 kilowatts per hour each person, so the EMU from Beijing to Shanghai saves more than 5000 kwh of electricity.

"Renaissance EMU" has a more intelligent brain, which can record millions of data in one second. "Renaissance" established a large number of sensor systems. There are more over 2500 testing points in one EMU more than the previous EMU 500 points. The largest one of these sensors is 62.8 cm high, and the smallest one is diameter of only 5 mm. These sensors can collect thousands of information, monitor the train vibration, calculate the temperature, check the brake system status, see the compartment environment at all times, just like the eyes of the EMU.

Taking the "Renaissance EMU" is safer because in addition to instability detection, fire alarm, axle temperature monitoring, pantograph video surveillance and other security features, "Renaissance EMU" has a “safety lock"— passive safety technology. It increases the passive protection capability of the EMU by adding a collision energy-absorbing device. When the train collides, the collision energy-absorbing device absorbs the collision energy through the orderly deformation to ensure the passenger area does not deform, the impact deceleration is controllable, and the passenger is safe.

Moreover, "Renaissance EMU" has a very good noise reduction. When the "Renaissance EMU" runs at a speed of 350 km high-speed, the largest compartment’s noise is only 65 db. EMU optimizes the structure, including a new streamlined front, smooth roof pantograph, all types of vehicle end windshield, and applies new sound insulation materials, then the noise reduction is controlled. A quiet room environment is accomplished.

As the "Renaissance EMU" is achieving 350 kilometers per hour, China has become the country, which has the highest speed railway all around world. The distance between Beijing and Shanghai, which are two super cities in South and North of China, is shortened. At the same time, "Renaissance EMU" provides more choices for people to travel and further closes the distances between each city. Also it further improves the utilization efficiency of railways, promotes the quality and efficiency of enterprises, and boosts regional, economic and social development. So book your trip to China because you have to try this high-speed railway at some point in your lifetime!
