Alumni Association to recognize 14 graduates this October

On October 4, 2017, the Penn State Alumni Association will recognize 14 graduates with the highest award given by the Alumni Association, the title of Alumni Fellow.

The Alumni Fellow program is overseen by the Penn State Alumni Association in help with the University’s academic colleges, campuses and the Office of the President. Alumni are nominated by the college or campus as leaders in their professional fields. The fellows accept an invitation from the President of the University to come back to campus and share their expertise.

Each Alumni Fellow will receive a commemorative award which is designed and hand casted by 1972 Penn State graduate Jeanne Stevens-Sollman. Stevens-Sollman is an acclaimed sculptor and medalist, and a 2007 Alumni Fellow. Complete bios of the Alumni Fellows and their acceptance speeches will be posted on the Alumni Association’s website after the ceremony.

The 2017 Alumni Fellows include, Robert P. Bennett, Steven J. Betza, Edward C. Dowling Jr., Abdul Farid, Louis J. Grabowsky, Jackie Graham, Dale T. Hoffman, Brian M. Kupchella, Richard B. Lippin, Darwina L. Neal, Anne Kauffman Nolon, Hugh C. Roth, Allan W. Silberman, and Vincent Sorgi.
