Women's soccer falls short in championship game

After a thrilling comeback victory against Ithaca, Behrend lost 3-1 to Baldwin-Wallace. The Ithaca game was the first victory ever against them. After Ithaca scored in the 13th minute, Jordan Oberlander responded in the 19th minute with a goal. In the second half, Freshman Jordan Trauma scored her first collegiate goal in the 52nd minute. After that, Behrend had to endure the heightened pressure from the Ithaca attack with Ania Gorski making seven saves in her first collegiate win. In the championship, Behrend got ahead early with a 6th minute goal from Jordan Oberlander. Then, Baldwin-Wallace scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead. Baldwin Wallace would hold on to win the HLM Championship by that score. The Women's soccer team play at Case-Western Reserve on Wednesday night at 7:30.
